Match Report: LSH 26 Manchester Medics 20

17th September 2016

This was an entertaining evenly matched fixture played in ideal conditions between a uniformly youthful student team,  and an LSH team of somewhat more mature years in a few positions.

Both sides scored 4 tries, earning a try bonus point; and the Medics a second point for losing by fewer than 7. The difference was Filson kicking 3 conversions to none. LSH had a Filson try disallowed just before half time; while the Medics scored their last try right at the end of the match earning them their two losing bonus points in the process.

Half way through the first half  No. 8, Dan Webster, suffered a serious knee injury which will keep him out action for some time.

LSH scorers were Filson, Heslop, McClurg and Potter (tries) and Filson three conversions. Medics scored their tries two in each half.
